Visual Flame

  • For 25 years intelligent Visual Flame Detection™ has proven to be the most reliable technology used in hazardous industries. Intelligent Visual Flame Detectors process live video images in the near infrared (IR) to identify the characteristic properties of flames visually. The onboard flame detection algorithms analyse multiple bright objects in its field of view for flame shape, size, and flicker pattern whilst ignoring false alarm stimuli.

Triple IR

  • The Micropack FDS303 is an explosion-proof multi-spectrum IR flame detector. The device delivers superior performance, responding to hydrocarbon liquid fuel and gas fires at long distances.

    Factory Mutual has tested the FDS303 to detect a hydrocarbon fuel pan fire at 60 m (~ 200 feet) in 5 seconds.

Hydrogen Fire

  • The MICROPACK FDS303H is an explosion-proof multi-spectrum IR hydrogen (H2) flame detector. The device delivers superior performance, responding to hydrogen fires at long distances.

    The FDS303H has been independently tested to demonstrate it can detect a hydrogen plume fire at 40m (131 ft) in 5 seconds.
